2. General information on data processing
We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide our website, respond to enquiries or comply with legal obligations. The applicable legal bases are explained in the sections below. Data is deleted once it is no longer needed for the respective purpose, unless statutory retention obligations or other lawful grounds require continued storage.
3. Hosting and technical provision
Our website is hosted by Alfahosting GmbH, Edmund-von-Lippmann-Straße 13–15, 06112 Halle (Saale), Germany. When you access the website, technically necessary connection data is generated, in particular your IP address, the date and time of access, the requested URL, the volume of data transferred, the HTTP status, the referrer and information about your browser or device, insofar as your browser transmits this information. This processing serves to provide the website securely and reliably and to detect and prevent technical attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in security and functionality). The hosting provider processes data on our behalf in connection with the hosting services; the applicable data processing arrangements are governed by Article 28 GDPR.
The hosting provider retains visitors' IP addresses for 24 hours, after which they are anonymised. The relevant data is deleted after no more than seven days. Processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR to ensure the secure and reliable operation of the website. The hosting provider's data centre is located in Leipzig, Germany.
4. Server logs and AWStats
We use AWStats, based on web server log files, for technical analysis and statistical evaluation of website usage. Under our current website configuration, AWStats does not execute tracking code in your browser and does not set cookies or browser-based identifiers. The access data contained in the server logs is processed for error analysis, IT security and aggregated usage statistics. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Under the current website configuration, MORPHOTEC does not use tracking cookies or comparable browser-based tracking technologies requiring consent. Strictly necessary functions may be permitted without separate consent under Section 25(2) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG).
6. Contact and contact form
When you contact us by email, telephone or via our contact form, we process the information you provide (in particular your name, contact details, company, subject, message and any additional voluntary information) to respond to your enquiry and conduct any necessary follow-up communication. Required form fields are marked accordingly. We do not use this information for other purposes without a legal basis. For contractual or pre-contractual enquiries, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; otherwise, it is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). The information is retained for as long as necessary to process and, where appropriate, document the enquiry; statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
To protect against automated and abusive form submissions, we use technical validation mechanisms and a temporary limit on the frequency of requests. For this purpose, a cryptographically derived verification value is generated from the IP address and stored temporarily for no longer than one hour. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (preventing abuse and ensuring the functionality of the website).
7. External links
Our website may contain links to external websites, including Google Maps. Simply displaying such a link does not establish a connection to the external provider. If you follow an external link, the privacy terms of the respective provider apply. On our contact page, Google Maps is linked to rather than embedded as a map.
8. Encrypted transmission
Our website is available over HTTPS and uses TLS to encrypt data transmission. Absolute security of data transmitted over the Internet cannot be guaranteed.
9. Your rights
Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you have the right of access (Article 15), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18) and, where applicable, data portability (Article 20). Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future (Article 7(3) GDPR). 10. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR), in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The competent supervisory authority for MORPHOTEC in North Rhine-Westphalia is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen).
11. Unsolicited advertising
We object, to the extent permitted by law, to the use of contact details published in our legal notice for unsolicited advertising.
